ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (Jan. 23, 2024) - Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) is proud to announce a total of 834 students have been honored for their academic achievement in the Fall 2023 semester. Their scholarly distinctions have been broken into four categories according to grade point average (GPA):

Chancellor’s List, 3.75 or higher (No grade lower than a B)

Dean’s List, 3.5-3.74 (No grade lower than a C)

Honor Roll, 3.0-3.49 (No grade lower than a C)

Viking Scholars List, 3.5 (No grade lower than a B)

ECSU students remain in lockstep with college students nationally when it comes to GPA rankings. The first goal in Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon’s “Forging Our Future,” five-year strategic plan is academic excellence, which states six objectives including promoting an academic environment centered on student success.
